Obama: I Am My Brother’s Keeper

President Obama keeps talking about God and inserting Biblical scripture into his speeches. Democrats and the media don’t seem to care when Obama mentions God or quotes from the Bible. It doesn’t bother them like it did when Pres. George W. Bush said the G-word.

In a conference call with BlogTalkRadio, speaking to liberal religious groups, President Obama said (about people who have read his health care bill),

“These are all fabrications that have been put out there in order to discourage people from meeting what I consider to be a core ethical and moral obligation. And that is that we look out for one another, that I am my brother’s keeper and my sister’s keeper, and that the wealthiest nation on earth right now, we are neglecting to live up to that call.”

This is an obvious play on a biblical verse, but Obama should have looked at this scripture in the Bible before he said it, or did he?

From Genesis 4:8 and 9 –

Now Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let’s go out to the field.” And while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him. Then the LORD said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?”

“I don’t know,” he replied. “Am I my brother’s keeper?”

If I was an Obama adviser, I would tell him to stop talking about verses in the Bible and stick to things he knows like “Rules for Radicals” and the “Communist Manifesto“.

How can Obama get away with saying he is his brother’s keeper when his brother lives in a hut in Kenya on less than 1 dollar a month!

Mr. Obama, 26, the youngest of the presidential candidate’s half-brothers, spoke for the first time about his life, which could not be more different than that of the Democratic contender.

“No-one knows who I am,” he told the magazine, before claiming: “I live here on less than a dollar a month.”

 

In this same conference call, Obama referred to another verse from the bible,

“There are some folks out there who are, frankly, bearing false witness.”

Obama is right about this one, but if you pay attention you will see he is the one bearing false witness about HR 3200.

Also, Obama’s Aunt lives in the slums of Chicago and is an illegal immigrant.
