Carolina Reps. Trying To Free The State From Federal Light Bulb Ban

Considering scientists have reported that “energy saving light bulbs ‘contain cancer causing chemicals’ and mercury would leak out if the glass breaks, the curly bulbs should be banned for safety’s sake. Instead, they are being forced down our throats, soon to be the only option.

The Telegraph:

Their report advises that the bulbs should not be left on for extended periods, particularly near someone’s head, as they emit poisonous materials when switched on.

Why Jan?

Whether the legislation becomes law remains to be seen, and even if it does become law, lawsuits will likely ensue. Regardless, South Carolina’s efforts demonstrate the will to remove the federal government’s ability to restrict individual choice.  READ MORE
