CNN Rolls Out Despised Warhawk John Bolton To Call Trump’s Threats ‘Hollow’ And Tariffs ‘Not Well Thought Through’

John Bolton opened his CNN segment with a bizarre analogy, calling a recent virtual summit “sort of like a short-term vaccination,” suggesting any impact on Trump’s thinking would be brief and superficial — because nothing says serious analysis like a vaccine metaphor from a career warhawk. The entire segment was a mix of opinion and speculation, not breaking news.

Bolton claimed “Putin has the initiative here” and would try to use his “KGB training” to win Trump back, implying Trump is susceptible to manipulation. He said Putin would work to “bring him back on his side” after having “irritated Trump.”

When asked about Trump’s threats toward Russia, Bolton said the Russians see them as “hollow.” He pointed to secondary tariffs on countries buying Russian oil and gas, noting the decision to impose a 25% tariff on India while putting no such tariff on China. Bolton called the approach “not well thought through” and warned it could have “negative consequences.”

CNN presented this as credible analysis from a former Trump official, but left out that Bolton served as National Security Advisor for only 17 months before a bitter split with Trump in 2019. Since then, he’s been a vocal critic and a fixture on CNN’s airwaves. And let’s be honest — Bolton’s answer to almost any global problem has always been the same: send in the troops.

So Democrats — do you suddenly enjoy listening to John Bolton now? 😂

Wouldn’t you rather hear actual news than this garbage?
