The media claims Trump only won in 2024 because of mail-in ballots. They argue that if not for mail-in ballots, he would have lost — and then they take it a step further by asking if that means he’s “cheating.”
CNN’s Erin Burnett went on air and asked:
“So is he saying that he cheated? I mean, I’m just getting confused. And he says they’re cheating if they win with mail-in. Okay, so he won with mail-in voting, would have lost without it. So that’s something that he apparently seems to not know.”
But this is nonsense. Trump voters who used mail-in ballots would have voted anyway. If mail-in wasn’t available, they would’ve simply gone to the polls. Suggesting his win only exists because of mail-in voting is a cheap way to downplay the fact that Americans across the country — by mail, early voting, and in person — turned out to reject Biden and the Democrats.
And that’s the real story the media wants to avoid. Trump gained across every demographic, not because of the mechanics of voting, but because of Biden’s failures — inflation, crime, open borders, and foreign policy disasters. People showed up however they could to throw the Democrats out.
Trump’s actual point is clear: Democrats built a system that’s wide open to fraud — with mass mail-in ballots, no-ID rules, ballot harvesting, drop boxes with little oversight, extended deadlines, weak signature checks, and even rigging the process by counting illegal immigrants in the Census, which gives blue states more congressional seats and Electoral College votes, adding to their power.
We’ve seen this pattern before. In 2016, it was “Russian Collusion.” In 2020, it was “Biden won fair and square — in the most secure election in history.” In 2024, it’s “mail-in ballots saved him.” And in 2026, they’re already previewing the next line: “Trump rigged the midterms.”
Every time Trump wins, they invent a new excuse to say it wasn’t real.
