Joy Reid didn’t misspeak. She didn’t stumble. She sat there, perfectly relaxed, on a podcast with two giggling white liberal co-hosts and delivered an openly racist and mean-spirited rant.

“So they can’t have the successor to MAGA be the guy with the brown Hindu wife. They’re also Christian nationalists — that ain’t gonna work. That’s why he’s throwing his wife under the bus, or Usha, or she’s in on it, right,”
Jennifer Welch:
“Playing slap and tickle with Erika Kirk — the weirdest shit I’ve ever seen. Yeah, it’s… she’s like in her Tammy Fay era, okay.”

But that’s one entrant. Another entrant is frankly, Donald Trump Jr.

Here’s exactly what they did:
• Reduced a brilliant, dignified Indian-American Hindu woman to a “brown Hindu wife” whose skin color and religion make her unacceptable.
• Declared on air that JD Vance must replace her with a “white queen.”
That’s blatant racism.
• Took a warm, fully clothed hug from Erika Kirk — a grieving widow who is well-known for giving genuine, affectionate hugs — and twisted it into sleazy “slap and tickle,” “weird shit,” and cheap sexual gossip about leather pants and head-rubbing, while mocking her for not acting “widowed enough.”
These are the same people who brag about being open-minded and inclusive — yet the second a brown Hindu woman and a Christian widow are on the Republican side, every trace of decency vanishes.
Joy Reid and her giggling sidekicks didn’t just embarrass themselves. They proved exactly how closed-minded and bigoted they really are.
