S.E. Cupp On CNN: This Is Scary Stuff, It’s Bananas – America Turning Into North Korea, MAGA Will Justify It Using Trump’s Lie About The Election

S.E. Cupp melted down on CNN, gasping, “This is scary stuff!” and declaring, “It’s bananas!” while warning that America is turning into North Korea under Trump.

Her evidence? A temporary banner at the DOJ, Trump’s signature on new currency, his name added to the Kennedy Center, and the Pentagon inviting friendly media to briefings.

She claims MAGA will “justify it using Trump’s lie about the election.” Yet this is the same S.E. Cupp who spent years dismissing election fraud concerns in the USA while collecting a paycheck from networks that refused to investigate or report on it — and instead kept assuring viewers that the elections were perfectly secure.

S.E. Cupp said:

“I am so concerned about the North Korea coded stuff that is going on right now. From Pam Bondi unfurling a banner with Trump’s face on it on the DOJ building to Trump putting his signature on our currency and his name on the Kennedy Center to inviting only friendly media outlets who are going to say exactly what you want in Pentagon briefings. I mean, it goes on and on and on.

When did we wanna become North Korea? This should be unnerving, disturbing to everyone. This is not partisan. This is scary stuff. So it can feel like a slow creep, and MAGA will justify it using Trump’s lie about the election.

But look around. Look around at your country, people. Is this what you want? You wanna walk down the street and see rifles, guys with guns patrolling because, for no reason at all, just to intimidate you? Is that what you want? You wanna walk around and see the president’s face on the Department of Justice, which is a separate but co-equal branch of government? It’s bananas.”

Cupp acts like any visible law enforcement presence is pure intimidation “for no reason at all.” In reality, it is for a very clear reason: cracking down on illegal immigration, deporting criminal illegal aliens, and restoring law and order after years of open borders and rising crime in many cities. President Trump and law enforcement are making the USA safer for every single American.

Cupp treats these symbolic actions like some kind of authoritarian horror show. In reality:

It’s just ink on paper money. Presidents’ faces and names have been on coins and bills for centuries. This is a new twist for America’s 250th anniversary — the Semiquincentennial celebrating 250 years since the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. New bills starting with $100s in June 2026 will carry Trump’s printed signature alongside the Treasury Secretary’s to mark the milestone. Existing cash in your wallet stays the same.

A banner with Trump’s face at the DOJ building was hung back in February 2026 saying “Make America Safe Again” — simple branding for a law-and-order push.

On the Kennedy Center, the board voted in late 2025 to rebrand it as the Trump and Kennedy Memorial Center, adding his name alongside JFK’s to recognize revitalization efforts. Presidents rename or rebrand federal cultural institutions (airports, highways, buildings). It’s not erasing history; it’s adding to it. Presidents rename and rebrand buildings. No need to be scared.

Pentagon briefings with friendly media? Every administration gives better access to outlets that don’t hate them. CNN spent years pushing Russia collusion, COVID panic, and election denial — now they cry when they’re not handed the front row.

According to S.E. Cupp, nothing says “scary stuff” and “bananas” like ink on money for America’s 250th anniversary, law enforcement cracking down on crime, exposing election fraud, a law-and-order banner, and inviting media that doesn’t hate the president.

She is more scared of all this than getting killed, raped, robbed, or murdered by an illegal alien — or getting nuked by Iran.

Cable news is a joke. It’s just people sitting around a table sharing their opinions and calling it journalism.
