Homeland Security just deported Tou Lue Vang — the predator convicted of brutally and repeatedly raping a 10-year-old girl over the course of years, starting when she was just 10 years old. He offered her $10 to stay silent, called the abuse a “minor thing,” and tried to excuse it by blaming cultural norms.
During the 2005 police interview, after acknowledging he had sexual contact with the girl, he downplayed the entire crime, calling it a “minor thing.” He blamed cultural norms, claiming it was “a cultural thing” in Thailand/Hmong culture to marry or have sex with girls as young as 12. He directly blamed the victim, stating that she was “just as guilty as him” and that she should also be arrested. He even offered her money to stay silent.

Tou Lue Vang, an illegal alien from Laos, had been convicted in 2006 of first-degree criminal sexual conduct after he repeatedly assaulted a girl between 2002 and 2004, starting when she was just 10 years old. He once offered his victim $10 to keep quiet about the sexual assaults. When interviewed by police, he tried to justify his actions as “a cultural thing,” and even said that his victim was just as guilty as him and should also be arrested.
Yet Governor Tim Walz (D) and Minnesota Democrats pardoned him anyway, claiming that deporting this child rapist wouldn’t make the state “safer or better.”
Their pathetic excuses? “It was a long time ago,” “he has a family now,” and the victim supposedly “forgave him.”
Forgiveness is for the victim’s healing, not a get-out-of-deportation card. People forgive to move on with their lives — that doesn’t wipe away the horror of what this predator did to a child or mean he deserves to stay in America. We have no idea if she was pressured, paid, or threatened to write that letter.
And let’s be crystal clear: a victim’s forgiveness , culture, and the criminal’s current family situation do NOT determine punishment or immigration consequences. Justice and public safety do.
This is exactly what happens when Democrats hold power: they open the doors to foreign child molesters, fight to keep them here, and force law-abiding Americans to live among them. Democrats and sanctuary policies protect child molesters while endangering American kids. No amount of “he’s changed” or “think of his family” changes the fact that he brutally violated a little girl.
