It’s clear to me why Lindsay Clancy killed her three children and slit her wrists and neck then jumped from a second story window. It wasn’t postpartum depression. It was the drugs. If she was also drinking alcohol, that would explain it even more. These medications warn against mixing them with alcohol for a reason.
Lindsay Clancy was prescribed a striking number of psychiatric medications in the months before she killed her three children in January 2023.
According to court records, she was prescribed 13 different medications and received more than 30 prescriptions between September 2022 and January 2023.
The medications included:
Zoloft (sertraline) — antidepressant
Ativan (lorazepam) — benzodiazepine for anxiety
Benadryl (diphenhydramine) — used for anxiety/sleep
Buspirone — anxiety medication
Trazodone — antidepressant often used for sleep
Prozac (fluoxetine) — antidepressant
Ambien (zolpidem) — sleep medication
Remeron (mirtazapine) — antidepressant/sleep aid
Klonopin (clonazepam) — benzodiazepine
Seroquel (quetiapine) — antipsychotic/mood
medication
Valium (diazepam) — benzodiazepine
Lamictal (lamotrigine) — mood stabilizer
Amitriptyline — tricyclic antidepressant
You can blame doctors and Big Pharma for prescribing and inventing the drugs. That’s the easy move. The person who actually takes them still owns the decision.
Also, read the possible side effects. Murder isn’t printed on there yet, but it should be.
