This juror was the only Black person, and likely the only Republican, on the jury. The state of Massachusetts chose one Black person, and likely only one Republican, for the jury.
There is something seriously wrong with that.
I bet they only chose one Black man (and one Republican) because the Democrat-led state wanted to go easy on Clancy. And they know most Black people and most Republicans are not going to let a cold-blooded murderer off the hook like White Democrats will.
I think they chose one person who checked both boxes, so they could say they had a Black juror and a Republican juror.
