Joe Walsh is a former Republican who left the GOP in 2020 (calling it a “cult”) and, by 2025, registered as a Democrat. Yet CNN still trots him out as their so-called “Republican voice.”
Walsh said:
“Look Kaitlan, you know what I think about Trump. We’re not gonna get any leadership from the White House, and he’s not gonna make any effort to unify the country. What I’d love to see is some of my former colleagues — I’d love to see Republican and Democratic members together. Go out on town halls together. Together go out on the road and make statements together and condemn everything, all of this violence.”
Of course Kaitlan knows what Democrat Joe Walsh thinks of Trump. That’s exactly why she brought him on her fake news show.
Walsh insists Trump hasn’t led or tried to unify the country. That’s flat-out wrong. Trump has consistently condemned political violence — from mass shootings to riots — and called for peace, law, and order. He has strengthened law enforcement, deployed federal officers when cities were under siege, backed the police when others abandoned them, and removed violent criminals from the streets. Trump also prioritized deporting illegal aliens — especially gang members, cartel traffickers, and repeat offenders — so communities aren’t victimized twice. That is leadership. And unity doesn’t come from staged town halls and joint press tours; it comes from protecting communities and defending the rule of law.
Then Walsh took a shot at conservative media:
“What I worry about Kaitlan are the media voices. Because a lot of the reaction we’ve seen to the killing of Charlie, especially the media voices on the right declaring war and we’re going to go after the left. We’ve got to tamp that stuff down immediately.”
Yes, a few commentators and some online influencers did use phrases like “we are at war” in their reaction. But they were the exception, not the rule. The overwhelming response from Republicans and right-leaning media was grief for Charlie Kirk’s family, condemnation of the assassination, and calls for justice.
Propagandist Kaitlan Collins should try reporting real news instead of recycling Democrat talking points through bitter ex-Republicans.
