Comparing Clinton’s email disgrace to the Goldberg chat slip on Signal is absurd. Clinton ran a private server out of her Chappaqua, New York, basement. Tens of thousands of emails—including 110 confirmed classified at the time—bounced around outside government systems for years. They lacked the protection of official networks. She even wiped the server after the subpoena hit. Over 30,000 emails, conveniently labeled “personal,” disappeared. This raised every red flag short of a confession. Meanwhile, we don’t even know if the Goldberg chat claim is true. Trump’s communications were on the most secure system imaginable. American reporters should be trustworthy. CNN has no business acting like these are remotely comparable. Clinton’s situation was a full-blown, documented breach of security protocol. After this, Cooper brought on Democrat Rahm Emanuel.
