On MS NOW’s Morning Joe this morning (February 25, 2026), the all White male panel (minus female co-host Mika Brzezinski) reacted to President Donald Trump’s State of the Union Address delivered to Congress last night.
Joe Scarborough opened by calling Trump an unrelenting bigot and implying Nazi-like tactics—while insisting he wasn’t going to talk about fascism or Nazis. He said Trump’s immigration comments were un-American and went against what the Republican Party and Ronald Reagan stood for.
Then came the main claim: Republicans “know they’re lying” when they say immigrants commit crimes at a higher rate than native-born Americans, and that “every study—one study after another study after another study—shows” it’s a “tired lie.”
Ask the obvious question:
When was the last time Morning Joe ran a segment detailing crimes committed by “immigrants”?
You don’t see it. That’s the point.
They fake news also refuses to make a clear distinction between legal immigrants and illegal immigrants when they talk about crime, so the audience hears everything as one blurred category— immigrants.
Morning Joe is on 4 hours a day, 5 days a week, but they won’t report on crime by legal or illegal immigrants. Instead, they keep their viewers ignorant while defending illegal immigration and using the issue to attack Trump and Republicans.
And it’s not just Morning Joe and MS NOW. The entire corporate, liberal, and public media refuse to treat crimes by “immigrants” as a serious category worth covering. If a crime committed by an immigrant becomes too big to ignore, they call it “isolated.” Then they go right back to denying the problem exists. That’s how you “win” on TV: ignore the topic, then claim it’s a myth.

Scarborough said:
“I will say there are a couple things that I thought were, were extraordinary that you wouldn’t see in the other State of the Unions unless they were Donald Trump’s. The first, of course, was just unrelenting bigotry. Uh, the lies, uh, the, the, the attacking of one group—specifically the Somalis… uh, Somali Americans.
That’s the sort of thing that—oh, you know—I’m not gonna talk about fascism or Nazis and what. You just read history and see what type of regimes will pick one or two groups and blame all of America’s ills on those groups. That’s one of the things that the President did. Another thing that he did was generally talking about immigration.
Again, it’s un-American that it is. It goes against what the Republican Party has always stood for. It’s gone against what Ronald Reagan stood for. And this continued lie—and it is a continued lie by this Republican Party—and they know they’re lying when they continue to suggest that immigrants commit crimes at a higher rate than those who were native-born Americans.
And every study—one study after another study after another study—shows this is a tired lie. And yet you have an entire party that seems in large part to be based upon this lie.
Speaking of lies… that’s not even a fact check. It’s just a straight-out lie ’cause everybody knows watching, everybody knows speaking, everybody knows in the audience. They understand Donald Trump is lying…”
Scarborough claimed Trump lied about Somalis in the USA committing crimes. That’s the real lie. Trump didn’t say all Somali Americans are criminals. He pointed to an ongoing pattern of crime and fraud the media ignores.
And the “every study” line is a recycled lie based on ignorance, once again. The same limited studies get repeated year after year and are based on incomplete tracking and messy classifications.
People who enter the USA illegally are more likely to commit additional crimes—especially when rewarded with money, housing, food, and pathways to citizenship. And if and when they become citizens, the crimes they commit after should still fall in the illegal alien category, not native-born.
The raw-numbers game is a distraction. The real question should be: why won’t corporate, liberal, and public media report on crimes by legal or illegal immigrants?
The answer is because they don’t want the public to know—so Democrats can keep pushing mass immigration to rig and cheat elections.
Republicans aren’t “lying” by rejecting MSNBC’s script. They are looking at different data and studies that Morning Joe won’t touch. President Trump and Republicans are right to expose how rampant crimes by immigrants are.
We could have a 24/7 news network dedicated to crimes committed by illegal and legal immigrants, and it would never run out of stories. Trump, ICE, and Republicans are changing that and saving lives every day—while the mainstream media and Democrats fight for open borders, mass immigration, and illegal immigrants.
Morning Joe isn’t on 20 hours a week to inform. They exist to repeat Democrat propaganda and keep the public ignorant. And that they do. Fake news indeed.
