PBS Host: Democrats Have Impressive Governors Like Gretchen Whitmer, Wes Moore, & Gavin Newsom

Leave it to PBS to call Whitmer, Moore, and Newsom “impressive” people and governors. To drive the point home, they brought on David Graham from The Atlantic—a loyal Democrat cheerleader—to gush over their leadership and even hype up Pete Buttigieg as the future of the party. This is what passes for news on taxpayer-funded television.

Whitmer forced COVID-positive patients into nursing homes, leading to nearly 8,000 senior deaths—thousands of which her administration quietly concealed and underreported. Today, Michigan’s unemployment rate remains one of the worst in the country, well above the national average. She expanded taxpayer-funded benefits to illegal immigrants while smuggling them all over the state with zero transparency. Whitmer also backed driver’s licenses for illegals and allows state funds to support housing and legal aid for non-citizens.

Newsom did the same in California, where nearly 9,400 nursing home residents died. He locked down the state, crushed small businesses, and then violated his own rules by dining maskless at the French Laundry. When violent riots broke out in Los Angeles, Newsom was sipping wine at a fundraiser at his private Napa vineyard. He also oversaw billions in unemployment fraud while real Californians went without help. On illegal immigration, Newsom turned California into a full-blown sanctuary state, gives illegal immigrants “free” benefits, and even handed them COVID relief checks—paid for by taxpayers.

And Wes Moore? He brags about fast-food job growth while Maryland faces a massive budget deficit and a growing squatter crisis. In some areas, squatters are breaking into homes and forcing owners to pay them to leave. His immigration stance? He backed driver’s licenses for illegal immigrants and pushed to expand work authorization—while thousands of Maryland citizens are still struggling to find employment and housing.

This is PBS’s idea of “impressive” leadership: death, deceit, economic failure, squatting, and open borders.
