Propaganda Pays: Maddow Opens With Far-Left Poll Showing Trump Approval At Just 33%, Calls Iran Strikes “Inexplicable”

Rachel Maddow opened her show by highlighting the UMass Amherst/YouGov poll showing President Trump’s approval rating at just 33% — the lowest figure among recent major national surveys. The poll comes from the University of Massachusetts Amherst’s political science department in Amherst, a very liberal college town in the solidly deep-blue state of Massachusetts, which has voted Democratic in every presidential election since 1988. It is directed by Tatishe Nteta, whose research focuses heavily on race, ethnicity, public opinion, and racial attitudes.

At the same time, Maddow described the U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran as “inexplicable,” making clear she did no research at all. The Iranian regime has spent decades advancing its nuclear program, enriching uranium to near-weapons-grade levels, funding and arming terrorist groups such as Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis, supporting attacks that have killed Americans and U.S. allies, and recently massacring thousands of its own protesters during nationwide crackdowns — with death toll estimates ranging from more than 6,000 verified cases to as high as 30,000 or more. There is nothing inexplicable about confronting a regime with that record.

News is supposed to inform people. Maddow is paid $25 million a year to push propaganda instead.
