Rachel Maddow gets paid $25 million a year to promote and glorify anti-Trump, anti-law-enforcement protests. Every time I tune into her show, she praises Democrat-organized demonstrations and strains to portray them as the biggest in human history. But footage shows mostly elderly white liberals and committed left-wing activists—not some spontaneous uprising of “the people.”
On the March 30, 2026 episode of The Rachel Maddow Show, she hyped the “No Kings” protests against the Trump administration and ICE, claiming rapid growth. According to Maddow, the first event in June 2025 drew about 5 million, the second in October 2025 drew over 7 million, and the third on March 28, 2026, drew more than 8 million across thousands of events nationwide.
She then promoted the next phase:
“Now the organizers of No Kings have already announced what they’re planning to do next. After those three gargantuan events in 10 months, the next one’s gonna be something very different. And it is set for May 1st. Instead of another day of record breaking protests and marches, this time No Kings organizers and hundreds of unions and other groups nationwide are planning what they’re calling a nationwide general strike on May 1st. A general strike as in no work, no school, no shopping Friday, May 1st.”
The “no work” part will be easy for a lot of these No Kings protesters — because many of them don’t actually work, unless you count getting paid to protest as a full-time job. So the organizers are calling for everyone to call off work while they pay many of their own to protest. Pure hypocrites.
Maddow brought on Ezra Levin, co-founder of Indivisible and a key “No Kings” organizer. He framed the protests as displays of joy and power from Americans defending democracy. Levin pointed to the Twin Cities model:
“They had a day of truth and action in January when they were pushing back against the ICE goons who are terrorizing their city. And the day of truth and action in the Twin Cities saw thousands of clergy and teachers and nurses and community leaders linking arms with no school, no business, no shopping.”
He made the political goal clear:
“And when we get to the midterms, I think we’re gonna get out the vote. I think we’re gonna crush the regime in the midterms. And I also believe Donald Trump will not go quietly. He will try to sabotage those election results. And when that happens, we have to be prepared to use that economic might.”
Levin said:
“May Day is a chance for us to replicate what we saw in the Twin Cities nationwide.”
If you watch actual footage, there’s little “joy”—just angry, miserable leftists. Protesting on behalf of illegal aliens isn’t “defending democracy.” It’s undermining the rule of law and the will of voters who elected a president to secure the border and enforce immigration laws.
The Twin Cities actions involved reports of protesters throwing rocks, bottles, concrete blocks, and fireworks at law enforcement. Officers were injured, dispersal orders ignored, and streets left trashed. Yet Levin wants to scale that chaos nationwide.
The “No Kings” movement is Defund the Police rebranded. Last time, leftists defended George Floyd and attacked officers. Now they shield illegal immigrants and demonize ICE. They called to defund the police; now they call to abolish ICE. Democrats consistently side with criminals while attacking the men and women who enforce the law.
I’ll be shopping, working, and spending more money than usual on Friday, May 1, 2026. I’ll even pay for an online class or two. I suggest everyone else do the same.
Work. Go to school. And shop on May 1.
Enough with these pro-illegal-alien, commie Democrats who scream “No Kings” while voting for socialists, communists, and career politicians who’ve clung to power in Congress for decades.
