Democrat Propagandist Jen Psaki on MSNBC:
I mean, do you remember the kinds of things Steven Miller had to say at the beginning of Trump’s first term we do. The Powers of the president to protect our country are very substantial and will not be questioned. His power will not be questions. So just to recap the situation here in Washington DC piece by piece, we are watching Trump hire a fiercely loyal staff who view the power of the presidency as unlimited. At the same time, he will have a Republican Senate and he will very likely have a Republican House of Representatives. All of that’s scary, and I’m sorry to be so direct about all of it, but what it means is that one of the last best checks for Democrats will be in states where they are democratic governors.
And just one week after the election, we’re already hearing from some of them. California Governor Gavin Newsom said his state is ready to fight and he called for a special legislative session to devote more resources to counter Republican policies around immigration, the environment, lgbtq plus rights and reproductive care.
