An Iranian woman on X posted powerful side-by-side photos of herself. One shows her in a full burqa and niqab, which she said she didn’t always have to wear but she did at certain places, under Iran’s oppression. The other shows her now free in a simple black low-cut dress. She was responding directly to the above White Karen’s post who claimed celebrating Iranian women look like hookers.
Many of the Iranian woman’s comments were misogynist and disgusting. Two men claiming to be based in the US jumped in with vicious attacks. A self-proclaimed MAGA conservative wrote, “You’re ugly. You should put the scarf back on. I don’t want to throw up.” Another man named Abdullah, who has an American flag in his bio, replied, “Facts man, this bitch is chopped.”
Iranian women are now free and can post photos in dresses but Americans on X are calling them hookers, ugly and chopped bitches. The oppressive mindset did not stay in Iran. It is thriving under American flags on X. If you are actually pro-freedom, defend her right to choose instead of demanding she cover up again.
From Iran to America, misogyny speaks the same language. However, I think there is more to their attacks. I think they hate President Trump and Israel more than they love freedom and women.
