President Trump is working to lower gas prices long-term. He is doing many different things beyond this oil deal, including expanding domestic oil and gas production, reducing regulatory barriers, pushing to expand pipeline and refining capacity, and supporting new energy infrastructure. His administration is also backing efforts to develop alternative oil-export routes in the Middle East, including pipelines that bypass the Strait of Hormuz, so countries are less dependent on one vulnerable shipping chokepoint. The U.S., for example, is supporting efforts to develop a new Iraq-to-Syria oil pipeline largely along the old Kirkuk-Baniyas pipeline corridor, which could eventually move Iraqi oil to the Mediterranean without passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
Democrats do nothing to lower the price of gas long-term. In fact, their socialist and anti-oil policies increase the price of gas every time they get power.
Don’t let Democratic politicians convince you they will lower gas and grocery prices.
