I find it hilarious that Jen Psaki, who was a former Obama and Biden press secretary, an Obama Communications Director, and spokesperson, mentioned Pete Hegseth was a former Fox News host. Her show went like this: trash Trump for the first 40 minutes, bring on two Democrats to agree with her, show an NPR headline, and quote RINO Roger Wicker, who has represented the poorest state in the USA, in the Senate since December 2007, to trash Hegseth and Carlson. Then agree with him.
Not to mention, contradicting decades of US foreign policy is not a bad idea.

Jen Psaki, former press secretary to Presidents Obama and Biden, and Obama’s ex-communications director and spokesperson: This week, during his first overseas trip as the newly confirmed secretary of defense, former Fox News host Pete Hegseth made his debut on the international stage at the NATO conference in Brussels. Now, in that debut, he proceeded to contradict decades of US foreign policy around Russia and Ukraine.
Pete Hegseth: We must start by recognizing that returning to Ukraine’s pre 2014 borders is an unrealistic objective. The United States does not believe that NATO membership for Ukraine is a realistic outcome of a negotiated settlement. We’re also here today to directly and unambiguously express that stark strategic realities prevent the United States of America from being primarily focused on the security of Europe.
Jen Psaki, former press secretary to Presidents Obama and Biden, and Obama’s ex-communications director and spokesperson: I can tell you that speech was probably music to the ears of Vladimir Putin. And those major concessions before the talks even started kind of had people freaking out. I mean, even the Republican chair of the Senate arm services Committee, Roger Wicker, said he was puzzled and disturbed by Hegseth’s remarks and called it a rookie mistake. He also said this. I don’t know who wrote the speech. It is the kind of thing Tucker Carlson could have written. And Carlson is a fool.
Don’t disagree there. Pete Hegseth did sound a lot like his former Fox News colleague who has spent years excusing Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.
