Harvard Medical School Morgue Director Pleads Guilty To Trafficking Stolen Body Parts – Faces 10 Years In Prison

Cedric Lodge, the former Harvard Medical School morgue manager, obtained the body parts from cadavers donated to Harvard Medical School’s Anatomical Gift Program. As morgue manager, he had access to these donated bodies, which were intended for medical education and research. From 2018 to at least March 2020, Lodge illicitly removed organs, brains, skin, hands, faces, dissected heads, and other remains from these cadavers at Harvard’s morgue facilities. He then transported the stolen parts to his home in Goffstown, New Hampshire, where he and his wife, Denise Lodge, sold them to buyers across state lines, including in Pennsylvania, as part of a black-market trafficking scheme. The theft occurred without the knowledge or consent of the donors or their families. Given the scale of this betrayal, it’s hard to believe Harvard didn’t know. We must defund Harvard completely.
