Immigrant Charged With Murder After Falsely Claiming ICE Detained Missing Wife

Gurinder Gill of Sacramento, California, has been arrested and charged with the murder of his wife, Jasmine Gill. After his wife went missing on September 30, Gill initially told detectives that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents had taken her into custody while she was outside their home checking the mail. Investigators contacted ICE, which confirmed that no enforcement activity had occurred at the residence. Law enforcement officials subsequently discovered burned human remains in El Dorado County, which were later identified as Jasmine Gill, leading to her husband’s arrest.

The corporate, liberal, and public media will bury this story, or give it a brief “one-and-done” mention at most. Yet, if ICE had really arrested her, we would never hear the end of it.

Jasmine Gill, 30, was reported missing by her cousin on Oct. 4 after she was last seen at her home on Sept. 30. Her husband, Gurinder Gill, initially told police that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents had taken Jasmine into custody while she was checking the mail at their residence.

However, investigators quickly cast doubt on his account.

According to her family, Jasmine followed in her mother’s footsteps to become a registered nurse and was trying to get a fresh start for herself and her 8-month-old son. READ MORE
