On MSNBC, Symone Sanders-Townsend claims that President Trump and Elon Musk slashing government jobs are destroying American democracy, revealing her belief that it depends on a massive bureaucracy to function. Symone says the job cuts are, in fact, wildly unpopular, but the popular vote supports this effort to cut waste, fraud, bloated bureaucracies, and drain the swamp—demonstrating that the cuts are wildly popular. With this support from the electorate, a more accurate headline would be: Trump & Musk’s DOGE Employee Cuts Are Democratic, Are In Fact Wildly Popular.

Rep. Burchett: No, I mean, I encouraged him to go as fast as possible because we’re gonna lose our guts. Hundred, hundred 50 days, this bunch is gonna. Oh man, it’s cutting into my…
Symone Sanders-Townsend: What Congressman Tim Burchett is cheering on. Let’s just be very clear are mass layoffs, including reports of the department of Veteran Affairs would terminate 80,000 employees. Congressional Republicans along with President Trump and Elon Musk, are facing growing resistance across the country and in the courts. These actions are, in fact wildly unpopular, which probably explains why Musk is reportedly unhappy and doesn’t like taking the blame. Hmm!! The tweets would like another word. This afternoon, President Trump made quite a show of coming to his defense and explaining to the press and the public that it wasn’t Musk who was directing things, even though Musk really is.
