PBS & Harvard Professor: Trump’s Visa Policy Like North Korea, Everyone Seems Terrorized In U.S., He’s Authoritarian

Christiane Amanpour and Steven Levitsky, professor of government at Harvard, tried to explain America’s lack of resistance to President Trump on Amanpour’s PBS show, Amanpour & Company. Levitsky said about President Trump shutting down student visa interviews all over the world, “The only country I can compare that to right now is North Korea. It’s insane.”

When he said that, Amanpour said, “Mmm, mmm.” She said, “Professor, I am not entirely disinterested party. I was a foreign student in the United States 45 years ago.” Yet she didn’t go to Harvard. Amanpour graduated from the University of Rhode Island and became a Democrat activist on the fake news. This experience caused Harvard to invite her to give the graduation speech on May 28, 2025, to the Harvard Kennedy School graduates, more than half of whom are internationals. She said she spoke about the apparent lack of resistance in the USA to this assault by Trump.

At her Harvard speech, Amanpour said, “So always remember, as Edward R. Murrow said, that dissent is not disloyalty. Dissent is actually an invaluable part of our democratic process. We cannot surrender to any system that deems only power-approved speech or thought is allowed. The whole point of journalism and any other academic enterprise is to investigate power, speak truth to power, hold power accountable without fear nor favor. Edward R. Murrow said…no one man can terrorize a whole nation unless we are all his accomplices.”

She may have named Trump later in her Harvard speech, but I didn’t hear it; regardless, her remarks clearly implied he was the target. Let’s not pretend Christiane Amanpour speaks truth to power or holds it accountable. She’s so brainwashed by Democrat Party and globalist propaganda that she’s paid to parrot their lies. Amanpour remains oblivious or indifferent to what true democracy really means.

Then she said, “Professor Levitsky, I wonder what you think about that quote from Murrow that, you know, it seems that everybody’s terrorized in the United States or am I wrong?”

Levitsky said, “I think it’s a mix. So, it’s a shame that Murrow’s words are so relevant, so pertinent today but I think you’re right to raise them. I share the view that Americans have been very slow to react to Trump’s authoritarianism. I think this has a lot to do with the fact that we have no recent experience with authoritarians…”

Unsurprisingly—Levitsky and Amanpour share the same views. But President Trump is no authoritarian—he’s a duly elected leader battling the corrupt, elitist, authoritarian system pushed by Levitsky, Harvard, and Amanpour. Americans are familiar with authoritarians, but the Democrat Party, their media allies, elitist Harvard, and the broader education system brainwash them to view this authoritarian control as democracy. Through endless propaganda, lies, and repetition, they cover up the truth. Their so-called ‘democracy’ is a deliberate deception, hiding authoritarianism, election fraud, centralized power, oppressive control, stolen freedoms, crushing taxes, murders by illegal aliens, and the genocide of abortion. This corrupt system misleads Americans into accepting the destruction of their life, liberty, and national security under the pretense of progress and democracy.
