Psaki: “Trump’s DOJ Targets His Enemies” — Meanwhile MSNBC Hires Them As Experts

Psaki claims Trump’s DOJ is running an “enemies list,” yet many of those very names appear on her own show — and across MSNBC — as paid contributors and featured experts.

Jen Psaki went all in during her MSNBC segment, declaring:

“Because nine months into this administration, it is definitely not an inaccurate presupposition to use his words that the Justice Department is targeting the president’s enemies. They are.”

She continued:

“So it is painfully obvious that Trump’s Justice Department is systematically targeting basically all the people whom Kash Patel and Donald Trump said they would target… The only thing that has changed about Donald Trump’s enemies list is that it’s gotten a lot longer. I mean far longer than the 60 people only Kash Patel was dumb enough to name publicly in a book.”

That’s Psaki’s spin. But here’s the irony: many of the people she claims are on Trump’s “enemies list” are paid contributors and regular experts on MSNBC, including Psaki’s own show.

Take a look at the overlap. Patel’s so-called “government gangsters” include:

John Brennan — former CIA director, named by Patel, hired as a paid MSNBC/NBC News contributor.

James Comey — former FBI director, named by Patel, frequent MSNBC guest.

John Bolton — former National Security Advisor, named by Patel. He’s a frequent MSNBC guest.

Andrew Weissmann — former DOJ official, named by Patel, one of MSNBC’s most visible legal analysts.

Lisa Page — former FBI lawyer, named by Patel, brought on for MSNBC interviews.

Peter Strzok — former FBI counterintelligence official, named by Patel, brought on for MSNBC interviews.

Susan Rice — former National Security Advisor, named by Patel, a familiar MSNBC guest.

Hillary Clinton — former Secretary of State, named by Patel, a staple of MSNBC coverage.

Joe Biden — President of the United States, named by Patel, a staple of MSNBC coverage.

Kamala Harris — Vice President, named by Patel, a staple of MSNBC coverage.

Mark Milley — former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, named by Patel, featured on MSNBC interviews and panels.

Fiona Hill — former NSC official, named by Patel, featured on MSNBC interviews and panels.

Alexander Vindman — former NSC official, named by Patel, featured on MSNBC interviews and panels.

Sally Yates — former Acting Attorney General, named by Patel, featured on MSNBC interviews and panels.

Rod Rosenstein — former Deputy Attorney General, named by Patel, featured on MSNBC interviews and panels.

Samantha Power — former U.N. Ambassador, named by Patel, featured on MSNBC interviews and panels.

Not every name on Patel’s 60-person list has shown up on cable news — some are lower-level staffers who stay out of the spotlight. But the big names Psaki highlights as ‘victims’ are all elevated on MSNBC — either signed on as paid contributors or booked repeatedly as featured experts.

Psaki mocked Patel as “dumb enough” to publish names, claiming it proves Trump’s DOJ is running a political hit squad. The reality is different. DOJ investigations require warrants, evidence, and court oversight. And the very people Psaki claims are “targets” are actually paid, promoted, and protected by the network she works for.

What’s really “painfully obvious” is the hypocrisy. Psaki and MSNBC have turned Trump’s loudest critics into their in-house experts, then cry victim when those same names face legitimate legal scrutiny.

By elevating these people as “authorities” and “experts,” MSNBC acts less like a news outlet and more like the media arm of the very establishment Kash Patel warned about — the entrenched Deep State. These aren’t neutral commentators; they’re the same insiders who built and protected the system Trump was elected to challenge. MSNBC’s reliance on them doesn’t just shape narratives — it works as propaganda to defend the permanent ruling class and attack anyone who threatens its power, proving Jen Psaki is just another puppet of the machine.
