Notice that Democrat politicians, Democrat voters, and the media never get angry when illegal aliens murder, stab, rape, molest, rob, assault, torture, behead, and otherwise hurt Americans. But when an illegal alien gets shot by ICE, they get very mad.
Mamdani wrote, “I am angry tonight,” accused ICE of making the city less safe, and demanded, “We want them out. Now.”
There is a crucial detail missing from Mamdani’s post: According to Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, the illegal alien accelerated his vehicle and rammed two cars. DHS also said he has a grand larceny conviction and prior arrests for assault, robbery, drug possession, and weapons possession.
Democrats on X are outraged and emphasize that his five-year-old child was in the car. But having a child with you does not excuse criminal conduct or exempt you from arrest. If he accelerated his vehicle and rammed two cars, he put his own child in danger. A parent’s responsibility is to protect their child, including by complying with lawful orders, avoiding escalation during a confrontation with law enforcement, and being in the USA legally.
Just six days before this ICE shooting, off-duty NYPD Detective Jose Mercedes was stabbed seven times during a Bronx robbery, allegedly by two illegal aliens.

The men wanted for brutally stabbing and slashing an off-duty NYPD detective seven times during a Bronx robbery could be seen making their getaway in new surveillance footage released by police Saturday.
Det. Jose Mercedes was getting something out of his trunk at the corner of Rochambeau Avenue and East 208th Street in the Norwood neighborhood around 1:45 p.m. Friday when he was ambushed by the brazen e-bike-riding duo, police said.
The pair allegedly attacked Mercedes as they tried to snatch his gold chain, officials said.
According to FAIR’s reporting, the two suspects were illegal aliens from the Dominican Republic. They were arrested more than 200 miles away, hiding in a Massachusetts basement. FAIR also reported that DHS said they had entered illegally and were released during the Biden administration. ICE lodged detainers against both men.
To my surprise, CBS reported this:
They are being charged with attempted murder, police said. The Department of Homeland Security said both men were from the Dominican Republic and living in the United States illegally.
However, CBS left their immigration status out of the headline and placed that information in the third-to-last paragraph.
Its headline was:
“Suspects accused of stabbing off-duty NYPD detective arrested in Massachusetts.”
A more informative headline would read:
“Two Illegal Aliens Accused of Stabbing NYPD Detective Seven Times Arrested in Massachusetts.”
Readers should not have to reach the third-to-last paragraph to learn that both suspects were in the country illegally.
The Democratic Party and its voters should be outraged about crimes committed by people in the USA illegally.
After illegal aliens murder, rape, assault, stab, rob, molest, and otherwise hurt New Yorkers, has Mamdani ever screamed, “I am angry tonight. Illegals make this city less safe. We want illegal aliens out. Now”?
Of course, he didn’t.
