X Kicked Me Off And Won’t Let Me Back On

I was banned from X a few months after Musk bought the platform. Eventually, I was allowed back on after multiple emails and appeals. Since then, I’ve been locked out several times, but I’ve managed to regain access each time by completing the authentication process—until today.

X heavily censors my account, and so did Twitter. Despite there being over 500 million users on the platform, my posts often seem to reach no one but myself. I have hundreds, if not thousands, of posts that disappear without any views after I publish them. Today, however, I noticed the censorship was even worse.

Every time I think X can’t censor me further, they find a way. Currently, I am locked out of my account entirely and cannot access any pages or posts. If someone sends me a video or post on X, I am unable to view it.

I have already confirmed my identity to obtain a premium membership, so they know I’m a real person. However, aside from Grok, there doesn’t seem to be anything “premium” about this membership. As a paying member, I don’t receive better service or more reach. In fact, it feels like my reach is reduced, and I receive no customer support—almost as if they want me to close my account. After all, how many people want to pay to be part of something where they’re not allowed to speak, aren’t treated equally, and are repeatedly locked out or banned?

I sometimes wonder who at X dislikes me so much. Over the past 15 years, I’ve faced constant censorship, frequent suspensions, and many bans from Twitter and X. I suspect that some closed-minded Democrats (including certain problematic figures in the U.S. government and or affiliates of George Soros) may be reporting my posts.

Twitter/X has never treated me fairly, and my posts have always been heavily censored. Musk was supposed to change this, promising to support free speech. But if you read X’s rules and policies, it’s clear that free speech is still limited. X can censor and remove people for any reason.

I went through the authentication process four times, but each time, I was unable to complete it. Then, I received the message below.

I tried again 7, 15 and 18 hours hours later, but the same message keeps appearing. Every time I type x.com into my address bar, it redirects me to https://x.com/account/access which displays the message: “Something went wrong. You have exceeded the number of allowed attempts. Please try again later.” I cannot access any other X page on my computer or phone. I tried to create another account with a different email to see if my account was still online, but I can’t do that because I can’t access the sign-up page. My third party X app shows a red exclamation mark. I don’t think this is a bug; it feels intentional, especially with the 2024 election approaching. I believe this to be the new way to suspend and ban people from X.

I sent an email to the X support team about this issue. It’s incredibly frustrating to be treated like a child and repeatedly kicked off X. New owner, new name, same old Twitter.

Thirty-six hours later, I tried again. This time, they let me start the authentication process, but instead of allowing me to complete it, X showed me the message below. So now it’s a technical issue. I clicked the blue Try Again button several times, but nothing happened. Why is it such a battle to post on X?

Then I typed x.com in my address bar. It said authenticate your account, so I did. Then a screen flashed quickly that said I proved I was human. But then X showed me the message: “Something went wrong. Due to a technical issue, we couldn’t complete this request. Please try again.”

I am done trying for now because it’s obviously not going to work.

X needs a dedicated customer service department with staff focused on promptly apologizing and resolving issues, especially on the day before the 2024 election. No one at X seems to care about their customers, and this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. It’s impossible to reach anyone on the weekend. Allowing one paid subscriber back on X should not be difficult, which makes me believe they simply don’t want to. I would like a refund and three free years of X Premium to compensate for all the issues I’ve encountered since Musk took over. Now, I have to use ChatGPT instead. While they might tell me I broke their policies, at least they do what I ask and haven’t banned or kicked me off multiple times. At the very least, I wish X would tell me the truth instead of pretending there’s a technical issue.

If a company is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, it should have staff working around the clock to ensure that its paying members can operate smoothly.

UPDATE: 40 hours after getting kicked off, X let me authenticate my account and get back on.
