On Election Day, November 3, 2026, a Michigan woman known on X as The Pissed Off Lawyer (@legaltweetz) is urging Americans to vote Republican after walking away from both the Democratic Party and her transgender identity.
Hendrix, a 44-year-old attorney and former LGBT activist, spent seven years identifying and living as a man before detransitioning. She now speaks publicly about her regrets and the potentially irreversible consequences of medical gender transitions.
In an Election Day post, she wrote:
“I can’t regrow missing body parts or reverse some of the changes of transition. What I can do, however, is stop this shit from happening to our CHILDREN.”
In the video below, Hendrix interviews fellow Michigan detransitioner Jonni Skinner, 23, who says he began medically transitioning from male to female at just 13 years old.
Skinner identifies the medical professionals who treated him:
“I transitioned at the University of Michigan. Daniel Shumer was my endocrinologist, and Sara Wiener was the gender therapist I saw.”
Skinner says he had one appointment with Wiener in May 2016, followed by his first appointment with Shumer in July. He says he was then prescribed hormones.
He began detransitioning at 21 and says he continues to struggle with medical complications, including urinary incontinence and breast development, which he attributes to the treatments he received as a child.
Hendrix, who once supported the political left, now openly supports Republicans. Her Election Day message is unmistakable: “VOTE RED.”
