On Sunday, November 1, 2026, a Learjet 60 traveling from Austin, Texas, to the Bahamas crashed near a busy roadway in Palm Beach County, Florida, killing all nine people aboard.
Dashcam footage captured the jet plunging into the ground and erupting into a fireball.
In air traffic control (ATC) audio recorded before the crash, the flight crew reported icing conditions and turbulence before declaring a Mayday as the aircraft rapidly lost altitude.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating the cause of the crash.
