PBS Calls ICE Enforcement A “Surge Of Violence” But Ignores Illegal-Alien Crime Against Americans

On July 14, 2026, Bianna Golodryga sat in for Christiane Amanpour on PBS’s Amanpour & Company. The video is at the bottom of the page.

She opened the show with what she and PBS clearly considered the most important news in the world: the fatal shooting of Joan Sebastian Guerrero by ICE agents in Maine the day before.

Legacy media rarely reports—let alone leads with—the constant crimes and murders committed by illegal aliens against American citizens.

Instead, they lead with law enforcement actions during immigration enforcement, framing the police as the problem rather than the people in the country illegally.

Shootings involving illegal aliens by law enforcement receive wall-to-wall coverage.

Crimes committed by illegal aliens against Americans get almost none.

This is yet another example of how the media protects illegal immigration at the expense of American victims.

Guerrero, a 26-year-old Colombian national, illegally entered the United States through the southern border on September 1, 2023, and was released into the country under the Biden administration.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, he was later granted a work permit in May 2025. That authorization allowed him to work in the United States but did not grant him lawful immigration status.

He had a final order of removal (deportation order).

ICE was surveilling an address linked to someone with a final order of removal.

Guerrero was not the target, but he was driving the vehicle when agents attempted to stop it.

According to DHS, the car tried to flee, and an officer fired.

Bianna Golodryga began the show:

“…Guerrero is the fourth person to have been fatally shot by ICE agents this year alone, including a Mexican man killed during a traffic stop just last week in Texas.

Seven other people have also been shot, though not fatally.

As the Trump administration presses ahead with its immigration crackdown, the surge in violence is again igniting anger.

The Trump administration’s aggressive immigration agenda and the apparent lack of accountability for ICE agents.”

How about the lack of accountability for illegal aliens and the Democratic politicians who allow them in and ship them all over the USA without a care in the world about who they kill or harm, Bianna?

Naturally, she then brought on Maine Democrat Chellie Pingree to echo the criticism of ICE.

No ICE official, no Tom Homan, no Republican voice, no Americans angry their family was killed by an illegal alien—just one-sided reinforcement.

She focuses on a small number of shootings involving ICE this year while completely ignoring all the crimes illegal aliens commit against Americans every day, constantly, and in every single state.

They purposely do not report on the Americans who are killed, raped, assaulted, robbed, molested , and hurt by illegal aliens.

Think about it: If illegal aliens kill just one American per state every day for a year, that’s 18,250 dead Americans—and the numbers are in that range.

That doesn’t even count all the other crimes committed daily by an estimated 20+ million illegal aliens.

But PBS doesn’t mention any of it.

PBS is not just biased—it’s complicit.

Look at these headlines below.

How many of them did PBS report on?

Not one.
